Tetrandrine VS Fangchinoline
Stephania tetrandra extract contains a variety of isoquinoline alkaloids, Tetrandrine, fangchinoline, cyclanoline, dimethyltetrandrine, berbamine, etc.
Tetrandrine and fangchinoline are the main active ingredients. They have the same color and similar functions.
Both have two tertiary amine nitrogen atoms, which are more alkaline. In addition, there are derivatives of dibenzyl isoquinoline, which are more lipophilic.
The difference is that in molecular structure, one in the seven positions is a methoxy group, and the other is a phenolic hydroxyl group, so the polarity of methyl is less than that of ethyl.

Tetrandrine Manufacturing Process
- Extraction. After the powder anti-self, raw material is crushed to reach about 20 mesh, and it is taken three times with 95% ethanol thermal reflux. Finally, the extract is concentrated with an extract of 1.2 specific gravity.

- Crystallization. The obtained 95% of Tetrandrine is repeatedly crystallite zed with ethanol and acetone so that the content of Tetrandrine is more than 98%.
- Crush and dry. The resulting product is placed in phosphorus pentoxide and dried at a constant temperature in a vacuum drying box for 48 hours.
- Inspection of packaging. The finished product is sampled and tested according to the enterprise standard and packaged into storage after passing.
