What is Polydatin?
Polydatin powder, also known as Piceid, is a glucoside of resveratrol powder in which glucose is transferred to the C-3 hydroxyl group.
Polydatin has two isomeric forms that exist in nature, cis-polydatin, and trans-polydatin.
It is a well-known stilbene compound with healthy biological activity and a terpenoid compound.
Usually, 98% of natural polydatin is derived from an Asian origin herb Polygonum Cuspidatum Sieb. Et Zucc appeared with white powder as one of the main active ingredients.
Food Sources of Polydatin
Polydatin is widely distributed in plants; the most abundant source is Polygonum Cuspitadum. Also, you can find it in grape, peanut, hop cones, red wines, hop pellets, cocoa-containing products, chocolate products, and many daily diets.
Grape
Polydatin was first reported in the peel of grapes. Grape skins exhibit higher polydatin contents than the seeds (Kammerer et al. 2004).
In red grape juices, trans-polydatin’s average concentration is 3.38 mg/L,cis-polydatin is 0.79 mg/L; In white grape juices, trans-polydatin is 0.18 mg/L, cis-polydatin is 0.26 mg/L.
Peanut
contents in natural peanut butter were found to be significantly higher than those in blended peanut butter.
Red wines
Red wine contains up to 14.3 mg/l, and 29.2 mg/l of trans-resveratrol and polydatin.
Cocoa and chocolate
Polydatin detected in cocoa and chocolate products is about 3-5 times more than Resveratrol.

Polydatin is Resveratrol?
The answer is NO.
Resveratrol, also known as 3,4′,5-Trihydroxy-Trans-stilbene, is a stilbenoid, a type of natural phenol famous for chemopreventive, antidiabetic, and neuroprotective properties.
Polydatin is a biological precursor of resveratrol, resveratrol’s glucoside form. The related brand is PTEROMAX™ by Biotivoia.

Flowchart for Polydatin Extraction
The dried Polygonum cuspidatum root is pulverized, extracted with ethanol as the solvent, concentrated, crystallized, dried, smashed, obtained the crude polydatin, then packaged and put into the warehouse after testing.
Prices for Polydatin≥98% powder
As an active component, polydatin was isolated from Polygonum cuspidatum. The raw material impacts on production, so polydatin prices are unstable. Here, we can share a general pricing range of USD420 to USD500 for your reference. Get a quote on your custom quantity and delivery destination now!
Where to Buy Polydatin Powder?
Cima Science is a genuine factory and supplier of natural products in China, and polydatin is one of its key ingredients. Due to the limitation of raw materials, there are no more than three real polydatin manufacturers in China, but WUXI CIMA SCIENCE has excellent advantages in supplying it. Each batch has 200-300 kg produced with 98%fine white powder by HPLC, top quality, none excipient, has great control in heavy metals, microorganisms, solvent residues, and so on.
