Cima doesn’t manufacture or supply Laxogenin bulk powder in any way. Please don’t use it this ingredient in your sports nutrition supplements anymore.

Maybe some of you still do not know what laxogenin is. We make a detailed introduction.

What is Laxogenin?

5 alpha hydroxy Laxogenin or 5a hydroxy, usually called Laxogenin, Laxogenin was extracted from smilax sieboldii, which is slightly similar to asparagus(a plant species native to Asia)in 1992.

Laxogenin structure

It is a sapogenin belonging to the group of brassinoids, which are part of 40 different sapogenins. Specifically, Laxogenin is a sapogenin, which is a sterol component of the non-sugar portion of saponin. Inside the plant, these magical compounds promote growth and vitality.

A FASEB study showed that these brassinosteroids trigger anabolic effects by increasing protein synthesis while preventing protein breakdown. We all know that protein is a component of muscle, and amino acids with Laxogenin in the blood can be used to repair and grow muscle mass.

Laxogenin and Anabolic Supplement

Anabolism is the process of building and repairing tissue.

To stimulate lean muscle growth, you need to promote your body’s anabolic environment. You can achieve it with proper timed training, adequate nutrition, and rest, but you can also intake the specific dietary supplements.

There are two kinds of anabolic dietary supplements on the market. One is Pro-hormones, which are usually hormone metabolites that occur naturally in the body. The others are natural anabolic compounds that get from animal or plant sources.

Laxogenin is one of the safe and natural anabolic products.

How does Laxogenin work?

Laxogenin promotes muscle recovery and growth by inhibiting the stress hormone cortisol. Excessive levels of cortisol make it almost impossible to gain muscle, let alone strength. Cortisol will climb up, then breakdown our protein when our body feels stress, no matter exercise stress or mental stress.

Laxogenin for cortisol

People often compare Laxogenin to oxandrolone, due to their similar anabolic/androgenic ratios. We know that oxandrolone’s registered name is Anavar.

Both Laxogenin and Oxandrolone reduce the secretion of sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) hormones, while SHBG promotes higher levels of free testosterone and push nitrogen retention, leading to anabolism. Oxandrolone has been shown to directly improve lipolysis (T3) by binding to androgen receptors, reducing thyroid-binding globulin, and enhancing the use of triiodothyronine. It also enhances the number of red blood cells, which increases muscle endurance.

Please note that, unlike oxandrolone, Laxogenin is a plant sterol that chemically synthesized, natural sources.

Laxogenin Benefits

  • Increased protein synthesis and muscle building
  • Decreased Stress
  • Enhanced Recovery
  • Greater strength and power
  • Regulates cortisol levels
  • Limits protein breakdown
  • Combats Inflammation
  • Improves blood sugar regulation

Muscle Growth: Laxogenin vs.Prohormone vs. Testosterone

A prohormone is to provide the body with a compound that is closely related to testosterone. When you take prohormone supplements, your body will feel the rise in androgen levels (general term for sex hormones and testosterone) and turn off your testosterone secretion to keep balance.

As you know, the more testosterone you have, the more muscle you gain. At the same time, it decreases as age goes. So people would like to intake testosterone to perform young and increase muscle growth, although you know it may have side effects in a long time.

Testosterone functions for muscles

Laxogenin does not take part in your body’s endocrine system. In other words, it neither increases nor reduces hormones such as testosterone and estrogen.

Laxogenin is not a pro-hormone and doesn’t affect your HPTA (hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis).

Because Laxogenin increases muscle mass and helps bodybuilding by increasing protein synthesis and reducing protein breakdown.

It gets muscle by controlling the quantity of protein.

Is 5a-Hydroxy Laxogenin legal and safe?

As we just mentioned earlier, 5a-Hydroxy Laxogenin is not a legitimate or safe supplement at all!

Inclusion on the Dietary Supplement Ingredient Advisory List does not necessarily indicate that the FDA has determined that the ingredient is unsafe; it means the FDA is taking steps to further evaluate the ingredient. In general, 100% the ingredient will be banned in one or two years, so be careful, don’t use it from now on.

2.Laxogenin side effects

Prohormone or steroids may cause hair loss, aromatization, or other side effects. Laxogenin is a nonandrogenic compound and not too aggressive on the body.

Now there is no long term research on Laxogenin.
